Well Well, Our fellow blogger Cam Potts preached on Sunday night, March 24th 2007 at Boones Creek Baptist Church.  He preached the Gospel from Romans 3 and its application to us as believers.  Many times we feel like we don’t need to hear the Gospel over and over and it should only be shared to unbelievers, but this is definitely not true.  The believer needs to preach the Gospel to himself daily as C.J. Mahaney says in his book Humility.  The Gospel is so essential to our life as believers.  God has given Cam the great ability to exposit the scriptures and teach it to others from the pulpit.  I thank God for men like Cam who are so intentional to preach the Gospel and pursue a life of ministry.  Please listen to this sermon and apply the 10 applications of the Gospel to your life. Cam definitely preaches God’s Sovereignty in salvation and once again I thank God for that. (“It is not up to us to pick and choose who will come to Christ, it is the work of the Holy Spirit.”) So get out ya pen and paper and take notes as you listen to Cam, “Bring It.”

I was reading the blog of another guy who simply loves expostional preaching.  I do as well and Kenneth had posted previously about the lengths of sermons and how we should demand that a preacher is an expositor of the Scriptures.  This guy just seems to hit the nail on head with his blog and i’m gonna put a link to it here so you can check it out on your own.  But I love this quote he makes: “Anytime a man, when he stands in the pulpit and does not proclaim the word of God he has failed miserably as a preacher.”  This is so true.  Please keep praying and demading that a preacher will do his job and teach the True and Holy Scriptures.
